The European Commission launched a consultation on tax problems faced by EU citizens when active across borders within the EU. The consultation is aimed at discussing ways to simplify tax compliance in cross-border situations.

- Questionnaire on the IOSCO 2020 Review
IOSCO issued a questionnaire aimed at surveying IOSCO members and key stakeholders on what they think of IOSCO's recent activities and performance.
The deadline for submitting the survey is 27 June 2014.
- European Commission Consultation on investment protection and investor-to-state dispute settlement (ISDS) in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement (TTIP)
The European Commission launched a public consultation on investment protection and investor-to-state dispute settlement (ISDS) in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement (TIIP).
The consultation is aimed at exploring a possible approach to investment protection and ISDS in the TTIP. Since the proposed approach contains a series of innovative elements that the EU proposes to use as the basis for the TTIP negotiations, the Commission seeks to receive input on whether the EU’s proposed approach for TTIP achieves the right balance between protecting investors and safeguarding the EU's right and ability to regulate in the public interest.
The questionnaire is available online and in all official EU languages.
Input and comments should be sent in no later than July 6 2014.

- EIOPA Discussion paper on conflicts of interest in direct and intermediated sales of insurance-based investment products (PRIIPS)
The European Authority in charge of Insurance and Pensions - EIOPA - issued a discussion paper on conflicts of interest in direct and intermediated sales of insurance-based investment products (PRIIPs) at the request of the European Commission.
The deadline for submitting comments on the EIOPA discussion paper is 22 July 2014.
A further consultation on this draft technical advice will is planned, following this first round of feedback.
- ESMA Discussion Paper and Consultation on MiFID II and MIFIR
On May 22, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) launched the consultation process on MiFID II and MiFIR accompanied by a discussion paper listing the specific questions in need of clarification.
The closing date for responses to both papers is Friday 1 August.
- European Ombudsman consultation concerning the composition of European Commission expert groups
Following the European Ombudsman’s announcement on further investigations into the composition and transparency of the Commission’s expert groups, Emily O'Reilly launched a public consultation asking for feedback from interested parties on these issues.
The closing date for responses is 31st of August.
