The Finnish Foundation for Share Promotion is a neutral foundation supporting share ownership and investment knowledge in Finland. Since 1985, the foundation works to promote retail investment in shares and other securities, increase public awareness of the benefits of long-term investing and help strengthen the functioning of Finland’s capital markets with a special focus on individual investors. The Foundation also aims to ensure that more people, from young adults to experienced savers, understand how to save and invest effectively over the long run and participate meaningfully as shareholders. Pörssisäätiö also plays an active role in policy discussions at the European level, and its contributions have included formal feedback on major EU consultations, such as the development of European Savings and Investment Accounts. The Finnish Foundation is an associate member of BETTER FINANCE.
