BETTER FINANCE is pleased to announce that, also in 2021, it is well-positioned to remain the leader in providing high-level user-side experts to EU and International expert advisory groups in policy and regulatory matters impacting individual, non-professional users of financial services.

At the European level, BETTER FINANCE is pleased to announce that Desislav Danov from FinTech Guardian (BETTER FINANCE’s Bulgarian Member), and Kristjan Verbič from VZMD, our Slovenian Member, have been selected for the European Securities and Markets Authority’s (ESMA) Financial Innovation Standing Committee’s Consultative Working Group (FISC CWG).

Last week it was also confirmed that BETTER FINANCE’s Executive Director, Aleksandra Mączyńska, has been appointed to the Civil Society Advisory Body of the UN’s Principles for Responsible Banking to represent Retail & SME Clients.

The Civil Society Advisory Body was established by the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) to support and advise signatories in implementing the Principles for Responsible Banking. UNEP FI is a partnership between UNEP and the global financial sector to mobilize private sector finance for sustainable development to support and advise signatories in implementing the Principles for Responsible Banking.
