Samtök Sparifjáreigenda, the Icelandic Savers Association, has been working since 2010 to protect investors’ interests in dealings with government, politicians, issuers and other stakeholders. It advocates on behalf of savers and investors, engaging in public debate and policy discussions to ensure that investor rights and market transparency are upheld. The association also works to promote a culture of savings and investment knowledge among the public, encouraging informed long-term financial decision-making and greater participation in equity and securities markets. In addition to advocacy, the association organises events and publications that analyse market issues which serve to inform both investors and the wider public about financial trends and institutional behaviour in Iceland’s markets. The Iceland Savers Association is a full member of BETTER FINANCE.
