The IVA Investors’ Association is an independent advocacy group for private minority shareholders and investors in Austria. Born in 1988, it promotes effective investor representation by encouraging shareholders to coordinate and pool their votes at general meetings, strengthening minority influence in corporate governance. IVA’s work includes representing members’ voting rights at annual general meetings (including proxy voting), issuing expert commentary on legislative proposals, intervening with government authorities, and advocating for improved capital market regulation that protects the interests of small investors. It also regularly publishes information and analysis through its newsletter and the Börsen-Kurier, organises investor events with experts, and provides members with advice on market, tax and corporate governance issues. IVA is a full member of BETTER FINANCE.
