DSW is Germany’s oldest and largest association for private investors, founded in 1947. Today, the organisation counts more than 30,000 members. The association has a long tradition of advocacy and consumer protection in financial markets: it represents its members at more than 650 annual general meetings of listed companies in Germany and abroad, monitors corporate governance practices, opposes proposals contrary to shareholder interests, and engages with policymakers and authorities on legislative and regulatory issues to enhance transparency and investor rights. DSW also acts as the umbrella organisation for approximately 7,000 investment clubs, assisting with their formation and ongoing support. DSW is a full member of BETTER FINANCE.
