Aksjonaerforeningen i Norge (the Norwegian Shareholders Association) is a non-profit, independent investor advocacy organisation representing private shareholders in the Norwegian securities market, active since 2004. It assists retail investors by providing guidance and support on investment questions and shareholder rights and works to safeguard the interests of small shareholders in interactions with companies, brokers and public authorities. The Association also engages in policy advocacy, serving as a sounding board in consultations with the government and financial regulators to enhance investor protection and market practices. Aksjonaerforeningen is also involved in the organisation of events, seminars, conferences and lectures designed to improve investor knowledge and engagement, and publishes the journal Shareholder, which offers insights and analysis relevant to retail investors and shareholders in Norway’s capital markets. The Norwegian Shareholders Association is a full member of BETTER FINANCE.
