Born in 1990, Sdružení Českých Spotrebitelu (SCS) is one of the longest-standing associations in the field of consumer protection in the Czech Republic. Its focus is on strengthening consumer protection at the regional level. SČS helps consumers by providing advice, information and practical consultation on consumer rights and disputes, publishing guides and educational materials that cover product and service quality, legal aspects, safety issues and everyday market practices, and operating online and telephone support services to assist people in resolving specific problems. In addition to direct consumer assistance, SČS engages in public education and awareness-raising, organising reports, surveys and campaigns that inform the public about quality standards and responsible consumer behaviour, often cooperating with different stakeholders. SCS is a full member of BETTER FINANCE.
