Understanding the nature of investments and the potential impact they can have is crucial for retail investors. To achieve this, financial literacy plays a vital role.

In collaboration with Climate-KIC, and our member organisations Place des Investisseurs, Deutsche Schutzvereinigung für Wertpapierbesitz (DSW),  Stowarzyszenie Inwestorów Indywidualnych (SII), and the Asociación de Usuarios de Bancos, Cajas y Seguros (ADICAE) BETTER FINANCE assessed the availability of climate-aligned investments for retail investors in France, Germany, Poland, and Spain.

The project used roundtable and circle groups at national levels to initiate social dialogue, raise awareness and understanding of financial literacy, and discuss climate-aligned investments for retail investors.

Invest for Better Climate EU aims to:

Identify the availability of climate-aligned investments to retail investors in the selected national markets.

Raise awareness among individual investors about the impact their money/investments can have on the climate

Inform retail investors about the existing standards and products.

Identify policy recommendations that may be necessary to facilitate social changes at national and EU levels
