10 years following the crippling global effects of the financial crisis, long-standing Icelandic BETTER FINANCE member ISA (the Icelandic Savers Association) recently launched a series of lectures and open meetings on the development of global financial markets. The series will look into the aftermath of the crisis, as well as what has been achieved since 2008.

The first meeting was held on the 10th of April, with Prime Minister of Iceland Ms. Katrin Jakobsdottir as keynote speaker, joined by Chairman of the ISA Mr. Bolli Hedinsson. With the signs of the 2008 financial crisis first felt in Iceland, it is fitting that analysis on its aftermath and the recovery of financial markets receives high-level attention. BETTER FINANCE congratulates its board member Mr. Bolli Hedinsson and the ISA for such a successful event.

If you would like to learn more about the work of the ISA and future lectures, please see the ISA website.
