Yesterday EuroFinUse, WWF and VoteWatch Europe were the last remaining candidates standing at the coveted European Public Affairs Awards, eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winner of the “NGO of The Year” category.

The EPA awards single out organisations for excellence in their respective sector, while aiming to encourage best practice in the European public affairs community. The nomination recognised EuroFinUse’s expertise in engaging stakeholders on a variety of policy issues and its capacity to influence public opinion and decision makers alike in a challenging environment.

Whereas the award for “NGO of the Year” finally went to WWF, EuroFinUse ended up in the top 3, having successfully engaged in campaigns to provide better protection for end-users, achieve more market integrity and transparency and establish better governance of financial supervision.

The team at EuroFinUse congratulates WWF as well as its fellow runner-up VoteWatch Europe and would sincerely like to thank everyone for their support!
