The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) is seeking to appoint new members to the Consultative Working Group of its Investment Management Standing Committee (IMSC).
The IMSC focuses on collective investment management instruments, such as the Directives on Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) and Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMD), as well as the Regulations on European Venture Capital Funds (EuVECA), European Social Entrepreneurship Funds (EuSEF) and European Long-term Investment Funds (ELTIFs), and its legal frameworks with regards to marketing and distribution, conduct of business, product disclosures and transparency, valuation, eligible assets, asset safekeeping and risk management. Therefore, the members of the Consultative Working Group will provide technical assistance to IMSC in relation to these aspects.
Apart from financial market participants and academics, ESMA is also seeking for representatives of retail investors and users of financial services among others with a minimum of 7 years of experience relevant to the financial services field. Candidates must also be available to participate in meetings in Paris at least twice a year.
