4 October 2012. On Thursday, participants of the fifth Symposium of the Sanction Committee of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) discussed the exercise of power sanctioning of administrative authorities as well as the role of the AMF’s Sanction Committee seen from the investor protection point of view.
Guillaume Prache, Managing Director of EuroFinuse represented at this event the individual investors side and insisted on the need for sanctions that condemn widespread selling of financial products that are inappropriate for some consumers but guarantee a high commission for financial advisers. Prache also pressed for the creation of a collective redress mechanism for violated savers.
