Financial Risk and Stability Network Conference on “How to design the future EU financial system?”

The Financial Risk and Stability Network, together with several scientific co-organisers[1], will host a joint conference on “How to design the future EU financial system?”, on the 28th of October 2015 in Berlin.

Ahead of the Single Resolution Board becoming fully operation in January 2016, the event is aimed at bringing together policymakers, academics, regulators, industry and consumer representatives to discuss the regulatory and political efforts to be made in order to strengthen the EU financial system and to push for intermediation.

Among the keynote speakers and panelists will be Vitor Constâncio, Vice-President of the European Central Bank, Elke König, Chair of the Single Resolution Board, Stijn Claessens, Senior Advisor at the U.S. Federal Reserve System, Francesco Mazzaferro, Head of the Secretariat at the European Systemic Risk Board, Martin Merlin, Director Financial Markets at the European Commission, and Christophe Nijdam, Secretary General of Finance Watch.
